Education is not an object we can possess; it’s a state of the heart, mind and soul.  All great leaders share certain attributes in these areas, and Job was one of the greatest! Adam’s unique perspective on Job’s life inspires parents to prepare their own students for leadership.  This lecture will give parents renewed vision for the liberal arts and practical suggestions for applying this vision through homeschooling.

 Adam Andrews and his wife Missy founded The Center for Literary Education in 2003 to help parents and teachers provide high quality instruction in the important disciplines of the mind.  Many of these disciplines have been lacking in American education for decades, and a return to greatness in the next generation requires that we reclaim them.  The Center for Literary Education exists to help parents and teachers give their students facility with ideas, making it possible for them to rise to positions of influence and authority in their society.  Their curriculum, Teaching the Classics, is the result of their conviction that the best curriculum is one that involves both teacher and student in a discussion of great ideas. Adam is a Henry Salvatori Fellow of the Intercollegiate Studies Institute, and a founding board member of Westover Academy, a Classical Christian school in Colville, Washington.  Adam and Missy homeschool their six children in Colville, Washington.

Author of the SAT & College Preparation Course for the Christian Student, Dr. Stobaugh has been an SAT coach for over thirty years. He and his wife, Karen, reside on a small farm in the Laurel Highlands of western Pennsylvania.
