Frequently Asked Questions

How much does it cost to attend?

  • The Coastal Florida Curriculum Fair is FREE!

Do I need to pre-register?

  • No pre-registration is required. You can register at the door where you can also pick up your free bag of goodies and your  guide to the fair.

What are the hours of the fair?

  • The hours of the fair are 4 to 9 pm on Friday and 8:30 to 3:30 on Saturday. The Exhibit Hall is open all the hours of the fair.

Is there childcare at the fair?

  • At this time there is no childcare at the Coastal Florida Curriculum Fair.
  • We hope that by offering free admission, parents who need to will be able to hire babysitters so their children may stay at home. We suggest parents view the CFCF as in-service training for homeschoolers.
  • Parents whose children are cared for at home tell us they are glad we suggested it so that they may get the most out of this event. They can shop at leisure and attend as many workshops as they like without distraction.
  • Parents of older children sometimes like to bring them to see their interest in materials or attend seminars. We allow children to attend with their parents but require them to stay with their parents at all times.

Are children allowed in seminar sessions?

  • As homeschoolers we love children and want to offer everyone the best experience at the fair. We realize that many people engage childcare and drive a good distance to experience this event. If your children are making noise in a seminar we ask you to please step out as a courtesy to others.  Your baby “talking” may not distract you but it could be a distraction to others or to the speaker.

Are strollers allowed?

  • Strollers are allowed in the Exhibit Hall. We ask that you practice proper stroller etiquette.
  • Please park your stroller outside the seminar rooms to allow as many people as possible in the rooms.

Do you record your sessions?

  • Not at this time but some of our speakers have CDs of their messages so check with them after a seminar or at their booth in the exhibit hall.

Will there be food available?

  • Yes! There will be muffins, juice and coffee for breakfast; pizza for lunch; and snacks and drinks available all day for sale from teens raising funds for summer  missions.
  • Within a mile of the church, east on Route 60, are McDonald’s, Burger King, Wendy’s, Big Apple Pizza, Firehouse Subs, Subway, and Bob Evans. There is a Cracker Barrel at the interstate. Across the street is Beef O’Bradys and the Indian River Mall which has a food court, Starbuck’s, RJ Gator’s and TGI Friday’s.
  • Any hostess can give you directions to your favorite place.
